Nonlinear absorption of electromagnetic waves in superconducting alloys at low temperatures
Annotatsiya
We make a theoretical investigation of a nonlinear mechanism of electromagnetic absorption in superconducting alloys as a result of oscillations of the density of states and the boundary of the energy spectrum of quasiparticles in the Meissner skin layer. Excitation of oscillations of the quasiparticle distribution function is shown to disrupt the usual dissipationless nature of the superfluid component of the electric current, which at low temperatures T ≪ Δ makes the principal contribution to absorption. The maximum nonlinear absorption is attained in fields far from the critical value and can be two or three orders of magnitude higher than the value calculated in the linear theory.
