The point-contact spectra of PrNi5, measured in the thermal electron-transit regime, are compared with theoretical results. The thermal electron-transit regime in PrNi5 appears when the conduction electrons interact with magnetic excitons, i.e., a nonphonon mechanism of creation of the thermal regime is realized. The agreement between the experimental curves and the theoretical results indicates that information on the electron–quasiparticle interaction function in metals can be obtained from point-contact spectra by means of calculation.
