Annotatsiya

We have observed anomalous abrupt resistance changes in thick vanadium films [d≫ξ(T)]. We have also observed a number of anomalies in the H–T phase diagrams for these films; these anomalies are most clearly seen when the field is parallel to, or at low angles of incidence with respect to, the film surface. We explain our results by assuming that there are two different electron systems present in the film. One of them is composed of electrons localized near a natural planar defect, the film surface. This subsystem is characterized by extremely small values of the critical current.
