Annotatsiya
The transient process in which the velocity of the thermal kink that arises as a result of a current step attains a new value is considered theoretically. It is shown that when a “fast” kink (|v0| ≫ 1) moves toward the region of the N-phase, the duration of this transient process is v02/4 times longer than in the case of motion toward the region of the S-phase (v0 is the initial kink velocity). The physical meaning of this result is clarified.
