Annotatsiya

Using adiabatic calorimetry and the Mössbauer effect, we show for the first time that a “glass-liquid” transition is possible in a Jahn–Teller crystal. The transition is accompanied by low-frequency oscillations that are probably characteristic of glassy transitions in a broad class of substances.
