Resonance properties of a four-sublattice orthorhombic antiferromagnet in fields perpendicular to the easy axis
Annotatsiya
The ground states and the frequency-field dependences of antiferromagnetic resonance in a four-lattice orthorhombic antiferromagnet are studied in fields that are greater than the exchange fields and directed along the symmetry axes and perpendicular to the easy axis of the crystal. The region of strong interaction, between the exchange and acoustic modes of the same symmetry is examined and the smallest separation between frequencies is shown to be proportional to the Dzyaloshinskiĭ–Moriya exchange constant and the off-diagonal components of the g-factor tensor. The radio-frequency susceptibility of the antiferromagnet in the spin-flip phase is found and the absorption rate in the exchange mode is considered for a collinear magnetic structure. Distinctive features of the Dzyaloshinskiĭ–Moriya interaction are discussed in the analysis of the exchange modes.
