Dicke superradiance (SR) on the purely electronic (1B2u→1Ag) and electronic-vibrational (1B2u→1Ag × ag) transitions of pyrene molecules in a diphenyl host was studied theoretically and experimentally. The conditions for the appearance of SR on an electronic–vibrational transition were determined. It is shown that SR pulses propagate in the crystal in the form of simulton. The lifetime of the vibrational excitations in this crystal is evaluated by Dicke’s SR method.
