Upper critical magnetic fields in superlattice superconductors

We consider the possibility of studying the structure of a superlattice made from type-II superconductors by using the angular and thermal dependences of the critical magnetic fields Hc2. We obtain expressions for the critical field Hc2 for a superlattice of arbitrary dimensions but with a general periodic potential. We show that measurements of the angular and temperature dependences of Hc2 can be used as a method for determining the structure and superlattice parameters in a region where its period is of the order of the mean coherence length in the superconductors [a⋅cξ¯(T)].
