Annotatsiya

We have observed a significant (up to 10%) reduction in the longitudinal and transverse sound velocities in the ceramic La1.8Sr0.2CuO4. The reduction is detectable in the temperature range 200−40 K and indicates that the system is approaching a structurally unstable state.
