Annotatsiya

The dimensions of the principal sheets of gallium Fermi surface (FS) are determined more precisely by a method combining the sound transfer with the cyclotron orbit cutoff. It is shown that the extremal size of seventh and eighth electron bands exceeds the model values [W. A. Reed, Phys. Rev. 188, 1184 (1969)] by 10−15%, while the sixth hole band is found to be practically of the same size as that obtained theoretically. Data are presented in support of the existence of a closed surface in the ninth electron band.
