Annotatsiya
A complete phase diagram has been obtained for the first time as a result of x-ray studies of O2–Kr solutions. It is characterized by the presence of triple peritectic and eutectic points on the liquidus-solidus curves and three eutectoid transformations at temperatures 50, 42, and 23 K in the region of solid solutions. The boundaries of the limiting mutual solubility of the components in the region of coexistence of equilibrium phases are determined. Two metastable phases having hcp and fcc structure are observed. It is proposed that the metastable fcc phase of oxygen is disordered relative to orientations of O2 molecules.
