“High-temperature” oscillations (HTO) of thermoelectric coefficients in Bi are measured for transverse magnetic field directions in the trigonal-binary plane, and the frequency spectrum of the oscillations is analyzed. The electron and hole periods corresponding to charge carriers with similar cyclotron masses are separated for the first time. It is found that a considerable contribution to HTO comes from harmonics and combination frequencies. The fundamental frequency is detected and is found to correspond to the distance between the valence band extrema near the points L and T of the Brillouin zone. It is assumed that the predominant observation of hole extrema is associated with energy level broadening.
