The proposed method of measurement of critical currents in HTS samples with a large cross-sectional area in a wide temperature range consists in the passage of a pulsed electric current through the sample. Temperature dependences of critical currents in HTS ceramic samples are determined. It is shown that experimental conditions can be regarded as isothermal for the electric pulse duration τ ≤ 10 ms.
