The ground state is calculated for a rhombic antiferromagnet with Dzyaioshinskii interaction in a magnetic field tilted from the easy to the middle axis. The boundaries of the intermediate state in the region of spin-flop transition are determined. The intermediate state is studied experimentally in the vicinity of the spin-flop transition in the rhombic antiferromagnet (C2H5NH3)2CuCl4. The effect of the shape of the sample on the region of existence of the intermediate state is analyzed. The critical angle of the spin-flop transition in (C2H5NH3)2CuCl4 is determined.
