Annotatsiya

The structural phase transition (PT) in (C2H5NH3)2MnCl4 layered crystal at Tc = 47 K is studied by the Raman scattering method. It is found that in contrast to the Cd-containing compound with a similar chemical composition, the low-temperature PT in the given crystal occurs without a multiple reduction of volume of a unit cell. The changes in the Raman spectra point towards the difference between the transition under investigation from PT observed in other similar compounds.
