The boundary condition is found for the semiclassical electron distribution function, which takes into account the effect of inelastic interaction of charge carriers with Bose branches of the surface state spectrum. The influence of inelastic scattering processes at the metal boundary on the effect of transverse electron focusing (EF) is analyzed theoretically. It is shown that the dependence of the amplitude of EF lines on the voltage across the emitter makes it possible to reconstruct the function of interaction between electrons and surface vibrations.
