Annotatsiya

The heat capacity of CsDy(MoO4)2 is investigated in magnetic fields from 0 to 3 T with the field orientation along the principal crystallographic axes of the crystal in the temperature interval from 0.6 to 6 K. The behavior of heat capacity in weak fields indicates that spins are arranged along the c axis. A broad peak of Cp(T) is observed in two directions (H‖a and H‖c) in stronger fields, the orientations differing in the field dependence of the peak height. The model of perfect paramagnet with S = 1/2 has been used to determine the anisotropy of the effective g factor: gc = 12.8 ± 0.9 and ga = 8.9 ± 0.4.
