The CIA and Castillo Armas in Guatemala, 1954: New Clues to an Old Puzzle

Frederick W. MarksFREDERICK W. MARKS III received his Ph.D. from the University of Michigan, where he studied undcr Bradford Perkins. He is the author of Independence on Trial: Foreign Affairs and the Making of the Constitution (1973) and Velvet on Iron: The Diplomacy of Theodore Roosevelt (1979), both of which are available in paperback. His latest work, Wind over Sand: The Diplomacy of Franklin Roosevelt (1988), was chosen as a selection by the Conservative Book Club as well as by the Lawyers' Book Society. Currently he is writing a volume on the diplomacy of John Foster Dulles
