Annotatsiya

Nonlinear dynamic effects in the electrical conductivity of compensated metals in a constant magnetic field H0 are investigated theoretically. The current distribution over the cross section of a plate is analyzed for different angles θ between the current density j and the vector H0 parallel to the plate faces. It is shown that with increasing j the quadratic increase in the resistivity ρ with H0 will be replaced by a considerably weaker dependence of ρ on H0. The domain of H0 and θ in which the nature of conductivity changes, due to the expulsion of the current to the sample surface with increasing H0 even under nonlinear conditions, is determined.
