Annotatsiya

Features of spatial distribution of gold and mineralizing elements in arsenopyrite of the Sayak deposit in Central Kazakhstan have been recognized by neutron-activation radiography. By combining methods of activation radiography and X-ray microanalysis, zonal structure of arsenopyrite has been recognized, which is due to changing Co and Fe contents in local parts of mineral grains. The main part of gold bound with arsenopyrite has been determined to be native gold of high purity (900-960), only sometimes this element is part of maldonite (gold bismutide). Native gold and maldonite are confined to microfissures in arsenopyrite crystals.
