Annotatsiya
A simple method for creating a solitary conducting channel of high-mobility electrons on a liquid helium surface strongly distorted by capillary forces is described and experimentally realized. it is shown that this system can be used for effectively studying the influence of dimensional and correlation phenomena on the dynamic properties of electrons. The channel conductivity displays a strongly nonmonotonic dependence on the holding potential and the number of electrons in the channel.
