Annotatsiya

Metal–nonmetal transition has been studied in cold-deposited sodium–ammonia thin films upon a decrease in the metal concentration. It is found that the critical conductivity index just after condensation is 3 ± 0.1. This is a new and unexpected result. Annealing of the system results in a gradual decrease in the critical conductivity index to a value close to 2, which is characteristic of the classical percolation case. The experimental data are compared with the results obtained from theoretical models describing the behavior of the critical indices in different systems.
