Photoinduced phenomena in HTS films of YBa2Cu3O6+<i>δ</i>

The variation of spectral and current-carrying properties of YBa2Cu3O6+δ epitaxial films with different oxygen indices δ upon exposure to light is considered. It is shown that in the range 0.5 &lt; δ &lt; 0.75, illumination causes a decrease in the resistance and certain changes in the optical absorption spectrum which are equivalent to an increase in the oxygen content. It is also shown that even for δ &gt; 0.75, illumination leads to a variation of the current-carrying characteristics of the films by changing the critical current density, while the temperature dependence of the resistance practically remains unchanged.
