Annotatsiya

Simple one-dimensional models are proposed to generalize the Frenkel–Kontorova model to the case of an antiferromagnetically ordered elastic crystal. It is shown that this model can provide a qualitative description of complex topological defects in 2D antiferromagnets in the form of a bound state of a dislocation with a magnetic disclination as well as a dislocation pair connected through an antiferromagnetic domain wall. The structural variation and dynamics of dislocations and their magnetic confinement upon a transition from the paramagnetic to the antiferromagnetic phase are analyzed. Variation of elastic and plastic properties of quasi-two-dimensional crystals in the course of Néel phase transition is predicted.
