Annotatsiya

The dispersion relation for collective modes of a one-dimensional chain of electrons in a channel filled with liquid helium is studied theoretically. It is shown that the dispersion relation has two branches, including an optical branch with a threshold frequency that depends on the magnitude of the compressing electric field. A dispersion relation is obtained for modes in the presence of a magnetic field applied parallel to the compressing field.
