Annotatsiya

The propagation of an acoustic wave in a layered conductor is studied theoretically under the conditions of Pippard’s effect. It is shown that the role of electric field accompanying the acoustic wave in the absorption of its energy by electrons increases considerably in view of the quasi-two-dimensional nature of the energy spectrum of charge carriers. This determines the resonance behavior of the damping coefficient for ultrasound.
