Annotatsiya

The structural state of zirconium polycrystals deformed by stretching at 4.2 K is investigated by resistometric and transmission electron microscopic (TEM) methods. It is shown that, under active deformation at low temperatures, the main contribution to resistivity near the yield stress σc is associated above all with an increase in the density of prismatic dislocations. The regularities in the evolution of dislocation structure ensuring deformation strengthening near σc of zirconium are mainly due to an increase in the dipole density and due to the interaction between prismatic dislocation pile-ups.
