The mechanisms of formation of two-magnon scattering spectra in a quasi-two-dimensional antiferromagnetic crystal NH3(CH2)2NH3MnCl4 are considered on the basis of the available experimental data on Raman scattering and absorption of light. The density of magnon states is calculated, and polarization selection rules for two-magnon spectra are formulated on the basis of four-sublattice model of antiferromagnetic crystal layers.
