Annotatsiya
The effect of elastic and plastic (up to 50%) deformation on the current-carrying capacity of a composite in the form of a silver wire coated with an HTS bismuth ceramic film (2212 phase) is studied. It is found that the composite ensures the passage of superconducting current under a strain up to 30%. A model proposed for describing the degradation of the transport current in composites provides a satisfactory quantitative explanation of the observed effect over a wide range of strains.
