Annotatsiya

The magnetoresistance (MR) of clean, weakly localized beryllium films of thickness below 100 Å is studied in fields 0–30 kOe at temperatures 4.2 and 2.2 K. The films were obtained at 300 K in a vacuum of 10−10 Pa. The behavior of MR is considerably irregular. In fields up to 9 and 23 kOe (at 4.2 and 2.2 K, respectively), the MR effect is positive. Negative MR is observed in higher fields. The positive MR effect attains its peak value ΔR□/R□ = 5 · 10−4 and 45 · 10−4 in fields of 3 and 5.5 kOe at 4.2 and 2.2 K, respectively. Singularities in the MR behavior correspond to the behavior of MR of metal films with a weak spin-orbit interaction and point towards the presence of superconducting metastable modification in investigated condensates with the superconducting transition temperature suppressed to 0.5 K.
