Sandbiown Activity in Recent Forty Years in Shajingzi Area of Minqin and Its Relationship to sand Control Afforestation

Under the methods of investigation of shifting dune area,observation of dune movement and relerant meteorological observations,comparing with the obserration data of 1950s.this report make a detailed study of the change of sandblown activity in shajingzi.Area of Minqin County in recent 40 years,holding that the sandblown activity is decreasing as a whole in this area but remaining the possibility of increasing again.Furthermore,the ecolog- ical benefit of afforestation to control the sandblown endangerment is analysed.
