Annotatsiya

Abstract Microcyclops afghanicus, a poorly known species previously reported only from Afghanistan and southern Siberia, has been found in Kazakhstan for the first time. New data on the morphology, variability, and distribution of the species are given. The synonymy of M. afghanicus Lindberg, 1948 and M. longiramus Shen & Sung, 1965 is proposed.
