Annotatsiya
The radiation hardness of a polymer-clad fused-silica core optical fiber is investigated at a dose rate of ~10 R/s with bremsstrahlung photons. Optical transmission recovery rates are measured for different integrated doses in fast (minutes) and slow (hours) time scales. Formation of color centers and their emission characteristics under gamma irradiation are also investigated.
