Microhardness of the structure of the cross section and longitudinal section of polycrystalline samples of composition Al-Mn obtained using Stepanov’s technique with the aid of a shaper which contains moving elements is investigated. It is discovered that a change in the value of the microhardness of the samples obtained by the modified Stepanov technique independently of the method of formation of structure does not exceed approximately 5% of the mean value. The obtained results support the expansion of the possibilities of this technique.
