Bioassay of Allelopathy of Aqueous Extracts of Four Main Economic Tree Species on Crop Seeds
Annotatsiya
Taking four main tree species of Guangxi namely Pinus massoniana,Eucalyptus grandis×E.urophylla,Cinnamomum camphora and Camellia oleifera as the study targets, the allelopathy of the aqueous extracts of leaves on seed germination of Raphanus sativus,Brassica parachinensis and Brassica chinensis were tested and studied. The results indicated that among the aqueous extracts of litter, the allelopathy of Cinnamomum camphora was the strongest, next came Camellia oleifera and Eucalyptus grandis×E.urophylla, that of Pinus massoniana was the lowest. As far as the aqueous extracts of fresh leaves were concerned, the allelopathy of Eucalyptus grandis×E. urophylla was the strongest, next came Cinnamomum camphora and Camellia oleifera, that of Pinus massoniana was the lowest. The seed germination of Raphanus sativus was particularly sensitive to the aqueous extract of Cinnamomum camphora, whereas the seed germination of Brassica chinensis was particularly sensitive to the aqueous extract of Camellia oleifera.
