Influence of the Volumetric Contents of a Fiber on an Elastic - Plastic Condition of Fibrous Materials

The numerical modeling of elastic-plastic deformation process of unidirectional composite materials is considered. On the basis of simplified deformation theory of plasticity of transversally izotropic environments and finite elements method the computational algorithm and software are developed. This allows applying the theory of small elastic-plastic deformations for the solution of concrete applied tasks on the account of stress - deformed state of fibrous composite materials of complex configuration. The dependence of the mechanical characteristics of a fibrous material on the volumetric contents of a fiber is investigated. The influence of the isolated cavity on elastic-plastic stress-deformed state is researched. On this example the borders of values of the volumetric contents of a fiber, where the interrelation of a fiber and matrix is executed by the best way, are determined
