Background and aims: The problem of neurotoxic syndrome in early age children is still extremely actual in pediatrics due to frequency of its prevalence and difficulties in treatment. Aims: Aim of the research to study the efficacy of cavinton in a complex treatment of neurotoxic syndrome in early age children on the background of complicated ARVI forms. Methods: 42 patients have been studied. The cause of neurotoxic syndrome development appeared to be acute respiratory viral infection (ARVI). All patients were divided into 2 groups. The patients control groups were being treated according to traditional methods. So they received anticonvulsive preparations. They were given lithic mixture to fight against hyperthermia, diuretics and also 20% albumin solution, plasma (to increase osmotic blood pressure). The patients main group were given cavinton from the first day of treatment together with generally accepted therapy cavinton was primarily supplied intravenously as drop infusion of sodium chloride isotonic solution 1mg/kg and then orally during 7–10 days. Results: The result of the research give evidence of high efficacy of cavinton in a complex treatment of patients with neurotoxicosis, contributing to fast disintoxication of the body and normalization of POL, AOC and LII (leukocyte index), that makes it possible to decrease severe complications and shorten the terms of patients staying at the in patient department. Conclusions: The main treatment is aimed to improve cerebral circulation and thus to prevent accumulation of primary and secondary POL product in the body.
