Asthma in pregnant women

<b>Actuality:</b> Pregnant women with asthma have an increased risk of developing early toxicity, preeclampsia, threatened abortion, prematurity, placental insufficiency. It is important to conduct adequate medical control of asthma. The lack of adequate treatment leads to the development of respiratory failure, arterial hypoxemia the mother9s body, spasm of vessels of the placenta, resulting fetal hypoxia. <b>Objective:</b> to determine the effect of bronchial asthma on pregnancy. <b>Materials and Methods:</b> 25 (100%) pregnant women were in the examination and monitoring of asthma in the 2nd trimester. 8 (32%) pregnant women had asthma intermittent current, in 3(12%) pregnant women bronchial asthma of easy persistent degree and 1 (4%) pregnant observed no effect from basic treatment. <b>Results:</b> monitoring of the course of bronchial asthma was carried out by regular measurements of the peak flow meter. Ultrasonic fetometry, dopplerography of blood vessels of the uterus, placenta and umbilical cord were also performed. As a basic therapy in pregnant women with mild persistent BA three women (12%) was conducted therapy with the use of antileukotriene drugs, and to control moderate form of persistent currents one woman used inhaled corticosteroids. Monitoring of BA and prevention of respiratory failure guaranteed a reduced risk of hypoxic encephalopathy of the fetus and other complications associated with the respiratory pathology of the mother. <b>Conclusions:</b> Thus, bronchial asthma in pregnancy requires more careful monitoring of the condition of the woman and the fetus. The achievement of BA control is an important factor contributing to the birth of a healthy child.
