Mobile Applications As A Modern Means Of Learning English

Nowadays information technologies influence on all spheres of human activity that ensure the spread of information flows in society, and form a global information space. So, an integral and important part of the informatization of society is the informatization of education thanks to computers, PDAs tablets or mobile phones. Currently, there are about one and a half billion mobile phones in the world, which is three times more than traditional computers. Mobile phones, smartphones, tablets are becoming a major part of human's digital life. Some of these apps are the mobile version of those websites that provide English learning materials for the students as well as other language learners. This article describes the role of educational mobile applications in learning a foreign language. The author focuses on the didactic characteristics of educational mobile applications and their capabilities.
