Annotatsiya

This article is devoted to the formation of lexical (professional and communicative) competence as a linguistic basis in the teaching of foreign languages in higher education institutions. The basic concepts related to the lexical aspect of foreign language teaching were explained, attention was paid to the lexical component as the most important component of speech activity, lexical competence formation and its gradual development levels were presented as necessary. The importance of lexical skills in the context of interdisciplinary relations as an integral part of the lexical competence of a foreign language is emphasized, their specificity and conditions of formation are described, based on the advantage of constructing a lexical competence of a foreign language on an interdisciplinary basis. This involves taking into account the linguistic characteristics of the students as well as the educational and cognitive activities.
