IoT have become popular in recent years with it's widespread use in a variety of environments. In this system, the data collected from the sensors is transmitted over a network. In this case, reliable network protection mechanisms are required. This article presents the open issues and problems that exist in the design and implementation of LWC (Lightweight Cryptography) algorithms that serve to ensure security in IoT systems. In addition, the tools used in the implementation of LWC algorithms in different environments, the results of the implementation of existing LWC algorithms in the software and hardware environment are given detailed.
