AbstractOne of the main requirements of school mathematics education in this article is the formation of an independent-minded creative thinker, a creative approach to the performance of educational tasks. The concept of “problem ” is one of the most important tools in developing independent thinking of primary school students in mathematics. In math classes, students seek to analyze connections between subjects through problems. In particular, typical arithmetic problems play a special role in enhancing the student's logical thinking, creative activity, as well as expanding their free, independent thinking.
