Reflection of Historical Personalities in Lullabies in English and Uzbek Languages

This article provides an overview of the genre lullaby in English and Uzbek, as well as their historical images. The frequency of historical personalities in lullabies is deeply analyzed. The effect which children can take from hearing this kind of lullaby is illustrated in the article. The difference between the use of historical people in English and Uzbek lullabies is highlighted. Besides, it is mentioned that the historical people mentioned in English lullabies are mostly warriors and war leaders. They are mostly used to frighten babies. The absence of frightening motive in Uzbek language makes it different from English. From the article we can see that the image of great people in Uzbek society is more common than English.
