AbstractThe article carried out a theoretical analysis of the concepts of competence, competence, social competence, studied the literature on the age and psychological characteristics of high school students, the development of their social competence, selected possible psychological methods for measuring social competence, considered the forms and methods of developing the social competence of high school students, given methodological recommendations for senior school teachers, aimed at developing the social competence of senior students, the pedagogical conditions for the formation of social competence of senior students are determined.
