"Hotamnoma"-A story based on folklore subjects

AbstractThe article reflects on the plot structure of the “Hotamnoma”, the composition of motives, the nature of the images. The plot of the story has also been compared to that of Uzbek folk tales, proving that “Hotamnoma” is a folk tale based on folklore. To get rid of the suitors, she suggests seven difficult questions on the advice of the nurse, and announces that whoever answers these questions will get married accordingly. In order to save the life of a prince, he goes to the king of Herat in search of a cure for witchcraft. The king said, “Whoever saves my daughter from the dragon, I will give her medicine”.
