AbstractAs a result of the occupation of the Uzbek khanates by the Russian Empire, the Russian government pursued a policy of resettlement of the population of the provinces of the European part of the empire to the eastern colonies, including Turkestan. As a result of these resettlement processes, different sections of the population were resettled from different parts of the empire. As a result, specific social strata of the population were formed in the Turkestan region. The article examines the social structure of immigrants from the Russian Empire to Turkestan.
