The article discusses the developed cascode photoconverter with amplification that provides an extended range of stable operation, a high current gain and manufacturability of a transistor using the same type of transistor structures made on semiconductors with the same band gap. It is shown that a cascode photoconverter with amplification during photocurrent control operates stably at collector-emitter reverse voltage values 3–4 times higher than those of individual bipolar transistors.
