Learning is usually seen as a classroom-based method, but with the help of computer devices via the Internet, it is now possible to conduct remotely, and not directly in front of the student. E-learning is one of the tools that emerged as a result of the evolution of computer technology and integrated into many educational platforms of higher education institutions, it is an electronic environment that can do and use it. This allows educational institutions to use resources efficiently. This approach to learning helps to gather information about ideal management. Usually, after entering the first year, they completely change their idea of studying at a university. Students studying at technical universities are mainly taught subjects related to programming languages. At the same time, the individual characteristics of each student are not taken into account, and the educational process is carried out in a general way. In this case, students begin a negative reaction to the educational process and teachers. This article presents a technique for identifying students' background knowledge using machine learning in order to determine the negative behavior of students when learning programming languages. The analysis of directly collected data and the creation of a platform for online teaching of programming languages, the principles of its operation and the analysis of the results are discussed.
