The problem of standardization of foreign language teaching in primary education is very relevant today, as international education projects and student exchange programs are becoming more widespread due to globalization, which also includes foreign language learning. Raising the level of knowledge and educating students to be able to self-assess is an important issue. The success of students in mastering foreign language lessons depends on many factors, the main of which is motivation, which in turn can be achieved through self-assessment of learning outcomes. Along with learning a foreign language, the use of methodological tools to influence the learner’s motivation, to reflect on their own achievements and organize self-assessment is explored. [12] The use of methodology and technical tools as a key factor. This study is based on a competency-based approach to self-assessment through foreign language learning in the primary grades. Such self-assessment helps learners reflect on their knowledge and skills and identify “weaknesses” in language knowledge that need further practice and improvement. Focusing on learning outcomes helps children shape self-motivation, which has a positive impact on each student’s performance and internal satisfaction. The information is available to all primary school teachers and foreign language teachers.
