Development of the four-row cotton harvester for one-time cotton picking

The article is devoted to the results of the study of operation parameters ofthe modernized vertical-spindle cotton harvester for a row spacing of 60 cm. The development of constructive solutions and the improvement of the technical level of this machine were carried out within the framework of the intersectoral project with the financial support of the Ministry of Innovative Development and by order of the Ministry of Agriculture of Uzbekistan. Participation of research, design and testing institutions in the project made it possible to determine the directions for improving the harvesting device and the pneumatic transport system of the MX-2.4 industrial semitrailer. For the traditional technological scheme of harvesting apparatus operation, the parameters of the spindle drums, the working slot, and the modes of operation of the machine have been substantiatedtaking into account the features of the opened cotton bolls. The study of the aerodynamics of the pneumatic transport system of the semitrailer vehicle made it possible to create the rational design of the system and test it in field conditions. Comparative field tests of the machine were conducted according to the traditional harvesting method based on the state standards GOST 22587-91 and new methods of one-time picking, protected by patents of the Republic of Uzbekistan. The development and creation of a 4-row cotton harvesting machine of an improved technical level were carried out by the release of its experimental industrial samples.
